Hey, everyone! We are SUPER THRILLED to announce that RE:COM is rising from its slumber after a yearlong nap. This is the "totally official announcement," and also, a call for submissions. The formal announcement lies below:
RE:COM Magazine, a print and digital magazine about comedy, is currently seeking content in any form that is funny and/or about comedy and is artistic in both venture and style. Illustrations, photographs/photo essays, humor essays, editorial columns, goofy gimmicky media charts and graphs, etc. etc. etc. Humor essays should be around 500 words, and include a high resolution photo of the author, as well as a short bio of the author.
Photographers, art specs are as follows: 1875 by 2625 pixels at a minimum of 300 dots per inch (dpi) resolution for each image. For best results, images should be specified in RGB space with an embedded ICC profile. However, if the images have already been converted to CMYK space, they should print just fine as well.
All contributed content should be original, created for RE:COM, except as requested by the editors. Rights of publication and authorship return to the creators 60 days after publication in RE:COM.
RE:COM is currently a labor of love. Submissions can be emailed to: editor@recomedymagazine.com
RE:COM is the only independently produced magazine about emerging comedy in the United States. It has featured Marc Maron, Tim Minchin, Reggie Watts, Paul F. Tompkins, Scott Aukerman, Eugene Mirman, Sean Patton, Andy Kindler, H. Jon Benjamin, Maria Bamford, Eddie Pepitone, W. Kamau Bell, James Adomian, and more. It boasts a readership that spans the country and internationally, and is available both as a digital download and in hard copy.
